Bloopers and Outtakes from our Online Worship Videos

2020 certainly presented its share of challenges. COVID-19 kept us all at home, trying to figure out what our “new normal” looked like. And, of course, we all did our best to adapt to worship online, but our efforts didn’t come without a few mistakes, bloopers and outtakes.

You probably think recording an online worship service is a piece of cake, right? Well, it’s only good editing that makes me look good (and that’s kind of iffy).

For the first several months of the COVID lockdowns, we chose to create pre-recorded videos for our Sunday morning worship. This allowed us to be creative. We even did special videos for the children’s church, including some crafts and science experiments to keep the kids engaged.

The videos were a lot of work to put together and edit. But the quality was great, and it felt good to get these done earlier in the week so Sunday morning didn’t have so much pressure.

Still, you can’t be creative without a few mistakes! Here are a few of our best bloopers (but none of the worst).
