GO TEAM!

Team: Together Each Accomplishes More

I remember working for the hardware store in my 20s and hauling box after box of paint upstairs. Each box had the word “TEAM” printed on the side, and then under it, the words “Together Each Accomplishes More.” That’s what teamwork does. By working together, we become more than the sum of our parts

In Acts 4:32 we read of the early church, “the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul.” Something special happened as they came together. Together each accomplished more. That’s still true of the church today and we see it in our church. We’re better together!

Together Our Church Accomplishes More

Sunday’s message was for this year’s National Back to Church Sunday, using the theme of “Together.” I also used the message as a kick-off to a new series based on Thom Rainer’s book, I Am a Church Member. Our elders read the book a few months ago and encouraged me to build some sermons around it. It’s a simple book with some great vision. I’m hoping my series will be similar.
